VP for Development
In this new role, Dave will be responsible for architecting, designing, building, documenting and testing both technology and financing solutions. He will oversee strategic solution development, execution methodology, and financing transactions, working with the Executive Team to design and develop strategic vision while managing all project efforts including the development of business requirements and supporting documents for each initiative.
Dave has been involved in developing energy projects around the world since 2005. He was most recently a Senior Fellow in Conflict & Climate Change at UC Berkeley and ran a solar development advisory business. He has been a merit reviewer for the DOE’s SunShot initiative, technical advisor for Sandia, NREL, State Department & USAID. He has constructed and operated over fifty solar projects in a range of PV technologies. Dave has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Georgia Tech. He started solar development companies in Caribbean, Eastern Europe, and an off-grid solar lighting company in Tanzania. Before trying to save the world, he worked for Shell Oil and Procter & Gamble making diesel, hygiene products, and good stories. He lives in Marin with a fifth-grade girl and a kindergarten boy. His whole family has a passion for travel and went on a nearly two-year trip traveling around the world.
